The mug can easily be turned on or off by long pressing the power button located on the side of the mug. It’s important to turn the mug off when traveling or storing for extended periods. For day-to-day use (if charged) the mug will automatically turn on when it senses liquid poured into it and will automatically power off if the liquid level gets too low or it’s battery depletes. To re-start just give it a charge on it’s coaster.
Yes, it is safe to leave the mug charging on its coaster. It will charge to full battery and then maintain when sitting on its charging coaster.
Adjusting the temperature is a breeze! Short press the power button located on the side of the mug to change settings. The LED display on the front of the mug will adjust as the temperature changes. When the mug turns back on after charging it will remember your last heat setting.
Unfortunately, Thermacup is not dishwasher or microwave safe. Please make sure to hand wash the mug after use, avoiding excessive water around the charging port.

WOW! This cup has been awesome! Not only does it keep the coffee warm/hot (depending on what you set the temp at) it can heat up what you've put in there to a higher temp... say if you're like me and like a lot of cream in your coffee but hate how the cold cream cools down you're hot coffee this brings that temp back up! It's been so nice grabbing my coffee for a sip (in between chasing my little ones) and having HOT coffee! If you're a stay at home mom we all know the struggle of trying to get time to sit and enjoy our coffee hot and just end up giving up and adding ice to it after awhile to make it a cold coffee but with this cup you don't have that issue! I love the sleek look of it, how simple it is to use and adjust the temperature, the clear battery light indicator on the side and the simple, set on to charge base. It's easy to clean (handwash only) and is a good size. Absolutely worth it for yourself or to gift to someone!
I love coffee and drink it every day. One issue I have found is that most of the time my coffee is gets cold about halfway through a cup. I happen to come across this Premium Heated Coffee Mug with 5 Temperature Settings, Industry-Leading Smart Electric Cup, up to 8-Hour Battery, 12oz with Lid (14oz Total Capacity) Midnight Black on Vine and decided to give it a try. Wow does this cup really keep my coffee nice and hot for hours! I love how it has 5 temperature settings so I was able to find one that kept my coffee temperature right where I wanted. The size at 12 ounces is more than big enough. I like how the lid fits very well and helps keep the coffee hot as well. I like the large base which keeps the cup stable on my desk. I like how the base charges the cup as well. And I love how great my coffee stays nice and hot all the way to the last drop. Definitely a solid product for keeping my coffee warm longer and one that I highly recommend. 5 out of 5 stars.
I'm very pleased with the performance of this coffee warming mug. Upon initial use after charging, the mug temperature selected is retained for future use until changed. Handy! Just press the power button, fill and enjoy at the next use! There are plenty of incremental temperature choices too, from 110*F up to 150*F. The temperature selection lights at the bottom of the mug indicate each 10 degree increase and flashes when your beverage is at the selected temperature. The mug itself is a substantial size so that constant refilling isn't necessary. The ceramic appears durable and while the beverage inside is warm, the exterior of the mug is comfortable to hold. The bright red color is easy to spot when, theoretically of course, you fail to recall where you've set it down. Once located, the next sip is as perfectly warm as the last one until the bottom of the cup. Delightful! No more lukewarm beverages. I've found that a single charge will last several hours for leisurely sipping but I do charge it each day as, in my case, there isn't enough remaining charge for the following day. That's an easy ask since all you do is plug in the coaster and set the mug on top to recharge. Presto! While I love everything about the mug, I do feel it is a bit pricey. Although it appears well built and should perform for a good long time with regular care and I don't hesitate at all to recommend it for purchase.
This product came very fast and was already charged 3 out of 4 bars on the indicator. I immediately felt the weight of this mug. It seems to be coated with a good non-stick material which makes cleaning it much easier, specially if you do it soon after using it. I didn't even need dish soap for coffee, total bonus! I love the red of this cup, but for my other half, red is his least favorite, so it would be nice if there were other color options. The cup is super easy to use, didn't even need to read the instructions first, it's pretty self explanatory. You can use it to heat up cold tea or cold coffee, but that will use up more battery than if you start with hot or warm coffee. When going from cold on a fully charged battery, the battery will last about 3 hours, however, when I put warm coffee in it on a full charge (used middle temp setting) I was able to drink 2 of these cups and still have 2 bars on the battery (this took me about 2 hrs to drink 2 cups). I do find that the lowest temperature setting was not hot enough to my liking, but the hottest was too hot, I love that you can choose your temp, and of course if you're in a cold office, you'll probably want to bump up the temp. The higher the temp, the less battery life you'll get. Great for an office or at home but, this is not something that could fit in a cup holder in a car, so it's only functional on a flat surface. I do wish the cup was a little deeper so I could get around 14oz to 16oz of coffee instead of around 12oz. The inside of the cup is 3 inches deep. Overall, this is a great cup for the price. I would recommend this, or order it again as a gift.
I've been using this self-heating mug for about a week and I'm quite impressed. It keeps my coffee very hot and the battery lasts a relatively long time (long enough to be away from the base for hours on end). It looks good and the device is built well (including the leak-proof lid that did not leak in my testing). It's comfortable to hold and clean. I tested whether it could take a cold drink and make it a hot one, just to put the most extreme demands on the device and it was able to do that within an hour (not its intended purpose, but a stress test of sorts). It has several options for heating levels and I was able to find my favorite setting easily. But it doesn't have a temperature readout, which is the biggest downside of the device. Otherwise, I found it's been great so far and would definitely recommend.

This mug is a mom's dream come true! it looks like a regular mug but keeps your coffee warm which is basically impossible with two boys running around my house. Quick heads up, It's a hand wash deal, but trust me, that extra minute is totally worth it.Set-Up: The manual that comes with the mug was helpful, but really the mug is simple to use. You press one button to control everything. I love the little icons on the mug that show you what temperature you're drinking at.Heating: I was sold the moment this thing took room temperature coffee and brought it back to deliciously warm. It works super well, and I like that on the coaster it keeps your coffee warm however long you're drinking it. It also turns itself off automatically, which is necessary in my household.If you're a busy mom who is desperate for a hot cup of coffee, get yourself a Thermacup ASAP!
While not a frequent reviewer, I felt compelled to share my experience with the Thermacup. When I am busy in the morning, my coffee or tea would go cold before I finished them. Thermacup exceeded expectations, maintaining a warm temperature the entire time I was drinking. It’s been a long while since I have enjoyed the last sip of my drink as much as the first.-Setting up the cup was so easy. I scanned the QR code on the manual as I despise reading directions. Per the recommendation, I did a charge for about an hour, and then tried out the mug immediately. Actual use, and the settings are very intuitive.-It comes with warnings not to dishwash or microwave it, so it needs to be handwashed, but that isn’t terribly hard.-The mug has a solid feel and is comfortable to hold. My battery lasted well over the 60 min mark on the medium setting. If that isn’t long enough, the coaster is an easy solution.I’m 100% satisfied. One of my best recent purchases. Highly recommended.
In the box you'll find the cup, a charging base, power adapter/cord, lid, an extra lid seal, and a user guide (the white silicon band is part of the protective packaging and should be discarded). The first thing that stood-out to me was the weight of the mug. The battery, heat element and other electronics add a substantial amount of weight compared to a regular coffee mug. For that reason, it's not ideal for someone elderly or arthritic, etc...Thermacup has essentially taken the old-school hot plate and moved it into the cup itself. The bottom inch (+/-) of the cup contains the tech (battery, heat element, etc...), and a 14oz container sits above. The mug looks like it could easily accommodate 20oz's, but it only holds about 12oz (14oz if you fill it to the rim). It is easy to operate. A single button powers it on/off and changes the temperature setting (low/med/high). Four green LED's above the multi-function button indicate the battery level and charging status, while 3 white LED's below the logo indicate the temperature setting. The overall quality is good. It appears well made and the fit and finish is excellent. I'm not sure what type of material it is made from, but it appears to be some type of high quality composite material (maybe a type of plastic).The battery is slow to charge and it's life expectancy will very depending on the temp setting and whether you are using the lid or not, but it's not very long, 2-3 hours at most on a full charge. This is certainly not a travel mug as the battery life is too short and it won't fit a vehicle cup holder.The ideal use case for this mug is an office environment, where it can be kept on it's charger between sips/drinks, but will still keep your beverage hot when you're away from your desk for a while (meetings, etc..). It does a good job keeping a hot beverage hot, but still drinkable (not scolding hot).That said, a simple vacuum insulated mug (like a Yeti), can also keep a beverage hot for hours and it costs a fraction of what this mug costs. So while this is a quality product that does what it say's it will do, it's difficult to recommend to the masses.I do think this would make a great gift for someone who "has everything", works in an office environment, and drinks coffee (that's me). I would never buy this for myself, which is why it makes a good gift. I do enjoy using it in that particular environment, but it will likely never leave my office.

The Thermacup is actually a life saver for my busy mornings. It keeps my coffee hot all morning while I work, and no spills on my laptop because it comes with a lid, which is great quality too. (I also have an Ember but it didn’t come with a lid and the battery life wasn’t very long, so I was looking for something else. Battery life on my Thermacup is a lot longer than my Ember!) It feels substantial but isn’t heavy, just overall really high quality. Definitely worth the purchase!
This is such a cool cup! It’s comes packaged very nicely and makes for an excellent and luxurious gift. The color of the mug is nice and vibrant. The coaster/charging station is fairly small and doesn’t take up a lot of room. Set is easy and the instructions are easy to follow. The mug comfortably holds 8 oz of coffee, but don’t be fooled by the large size of the mug. From about the bottom of the handle down, it’s solid and doesn’t fit liquids as that is the heating unit. The cup is easy to hold and has a nice weight to it. It definitely kept my camomile tea piping hot for a hour after I brewed it. I appreciate that it came with a lid which will make this perfect for extended time in the car running errands. The cup is easy to clean and charge. I do wish the charge lasted longer. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with this product as I can enjoy hot coffee and tea without worries of microwaving it.
Got this mug as an early Christmas gift to myself, and I'm officially obsessed. It far surpasses what I was expecting! It keeps my coffee (not just the bottom) fully warm for the morning while I work, without having to use the lid (which seems really well made). This is a game-changer for me because, while I love my Yeti mug, I don't love the feeling of the lid while I'm drinking. I've also had a mug warmer in the past, but it didn't warm my drink uniformly like the Thermacup does. This is WAY better. Also used it for tea last night, and the medium heat setting was perfect for me.I did my initial charge-up when I got the mug, and it seems to hold a charge well. I used it mostly on its coaster since I'm typically sitting in one spot while using. The whole mug feels high quality. Overall, I'm thrilled with my purchase and highly recommend. Will update if anything changes!
I've been mulling getting a self-heating mug for myself for a while now and am so glad that I did! FINALLY, I can finish my coffee without it going cold (yuck). The mug is very intuitive to use -- everything from power to temperature is just one button. I've found the battery life to be perfectly adequate for the time I would drinking it off the charger. On the coaster it truly stays warm forever. I know because I accidentally forgot my coffee for 4 hours the other day...

It's a good quality insulated mug that isn't too heavy, can be used on its own when fully charged (up to 1 hour), and has 3 different temperature settings. I prefer to use the low/medium heating settings. As expected, these items are not dishwasher safe and you should hand wash the mug. I have a cup of tea every morning, but I drink it slowly. This mug is aaaalmost everything I could have wanted to keep it from getting cold on me. It feels very solid, quality, but it's not too heavy. I like the material, how it feels in my hand, and I like the handle! It takes about an hour to fully charge, and then once you remove the mug from the charger, the battery lasts about an hour. I use it at the hottest setting, and it's the perfect temperature for me, without being TOO hot. If I don't finish my tea, I can just set the mug back on the charger and go off and do whatever. When I come back, I just turn the mug back on, and it heats the tea back up! It's great. The only negative to me is that it doesn't hold much. The mug is normal size, but the bottom almost half is taken up by the battery and such. So the mug only holds liquid in about the top half. My cup of tea requires two mug fulls. But it's nice in another way because it's like a built-in coaster. The bottom doesn't get hot. Actually, none of the mug feels hot to the touch. My tea is sitting there, steaming away, and my cold fingers reach out for it, but they don't get any warmth from holding the mug. Overall, I'm a big fan. I just wish the mug was a little taller to hold a proper mug's worth of liquid.

I love this cup. As I am a slow sipper it has made my morning coffee much more enjoyable. Also let me say that the first one I ordered stopped working. As it was under a year I seamlessly got a placement from Thermacup. The ease of that and their commitment to their guarantee led me to order three more cups for my children. I will likely think of Thermacup as a good gift idea for others moving forward.
For me, i want to leisurely drink a cup of coffee and have each sip be hot. This cup does that for me. I keep it on full power typically finish with about 1/3 of the battery left. It's usually fully charged by the time I'm ready for another cup.
Picked this up at a thrift store. Love it! Only complaint is the low heat setting is still too hot for me and it doesnt hold as much liquid as a normal coffee cup.
